Thank you very much for all the positive feedback on our recent post on the best  Objective-C video tutorials. We want everyone to benefit from our research, so hearing from you is very motivational for us. Many of you have been asking for a similar list of video resources for learning Android app development. Our initial focus is on developing iOS apps, so we weren’t actively looking at the Android platform. However, since we’ll be developing for Android in the near future anyway, we decided to do some upfront research on what kind of video resources are available online.

The New-SPUser cmdlet adds an existing user to a SharePoint Web site with the designated permissions. This user has the given permissions in all subsites that inherit permissions. The user account must already exist in the user directory.
If your environment is in Active Directory mode, the user must already exist in Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) and only the UserAlias parameter is required; all other fields are pulled from AD DS. If only an alias is given and the farm is in Active Directory Account Create mode, the Email parameter is also required.

As a very transparent two-channel pre-amp for acoustic guitar (and also mandolin, fiddle, etc.) I can highly recommend the Red-Eye Twin preamp and booster by the company Fire Eye. After having used the Zoom A2 and A3 (and having tried many others, for example the new Boss AD-10 which killed my tone), I stumbled across the Red-Eye in various acoustic guitar forums. Wow! What a clean, pristine, non-feedback-invoking tone! The thing only has a treble knob, but that is truly all it needs. It makes all of my 5 full-size guitars and my mandolin and my Go Guitar (travel guitar) sound exactly like they do, with more clarity than ever heard before in any preamp. I’m amazed at how much I can pump up the stage volume with this preamp without any feedback occurring. Apparently the circuitry is so clean that no nearly inaudible or subliminal “trash” is getting amplified along the signal path, thus reducing resonance and feedback. It costs as much as (or more than) a multi-effect unit, but I love it so much I’m going to now go out and by separate effect pedals to put in its effects loop. By the way: They also make a single-channel unit, but it has no gain knob and isn’t so much cheaper than the twin version, and the twin gives you the flexibility to plug in two different instruments (. guitars in different tunings or a guitar and a mandolin) and cater to their differing gain needs. The Twin works beautifully with my AER piezo/mic (blended) system in my Martin D-35 dreadnaught, my K&K mini transducer pickup in a solid-wood Voyager Air dreadnaught (folding guitar), my LR Baggs M80 active soundhole pickup in a cheaper version of the Voyage Air, etc. It harmonizes perfectly with my Fishman Loudbox Mini, my PA (RCF M18 mixer plus old and wonderful Mackie SRM-450 active speakers) and even my busking amps (Roland AC-33 and Roland Cube Street Ex with Jensen 4-Ohm (swapped) woofers). I’m in heaven, so wanted to share this with you.

If you’re a fan of using tons and tons of high-quality plugins, then you might want to consider moving to a plugin system that offloads processing power to your audio interface or external unit. There are many companies that offer this now, but the Universal Audio UAD2 plugin system and suite of audio interfaces/Thunderbolt expanders are most likely the most common choice by industry pros. You can load up EQ after EQ or delay after delay and your computer won’t feel even the slightest sting. I’ve reviewed both the audio interfaces and the standalone effect hosts, and I can tell you confidently that UAD devices are a solid choice for both the beginner and professional alike.
